Understanding the Problem

Through discussions with product owner, it was revealed that:

- Travelers often face language barriers that prevent them from fully engaging with local culture, history, and points of interest.

- Asking locals for help isn’t always practical due to differences in language and communication preferences.

- Finding reliable and accurate information can be time-consuming and challenging, which reduces the overall quality of the travel experience.

Product Vision and Solution

From these findings, we decided as a product to identify key goals:

- To create a simple and intuitive way for travelers to access reliable cultural and historical information without language barriers.

- To provide instant information through QR code scans, reducing the need for time-consuming searches or translation apps.

- To enhance the travel experience by offering trusted, location-based insights and recommendations that improve engagement with local surroundings.

What I Learned

Some key takeaways from this project are:

1 ) Connecting real world with mobile design

Since people scan QR codes in physical places like buildings or signs, I had to think about how to show clear and quick information right after scanning.

2 ) Keeping things simple and easy to use

I learned how important it is to keep the design clean and easy to understand—especially when people are using their phones while walking or exploring. I focused on clear icons, simple buttons, and not too much text.

3 ) Designing with limits

Since the app  allows users to scan  only QR codes, I learned how to focus on the most important features and not try to add too much. It helped me understand how to design with clear goals.
